Dartmouth Health is pleased to announce a national search for its next System Vice President, Oncology Service Line.
This key system leader serves in a dyad structure with the Director of the NCI-designated Dartmouth Cancer Center (DCC). The System Vice President is responsible for the strategy, system coordination/integration, clinical operations, quality and safety, and ?nancial performance of the oncology service line, ensuring optimal alignment of the Dartmouth Cancer Center’s clinical and academic missions. This role also holds responsibility for organizing all aspects of clinical integration across cancer delivery services system-wide, including surgical oncology, gynecologic oncology, pediatric oncology, inpatient services, genetics, radiology, and pathology.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer for Dartmouth Health and the Chief Operating Officer for Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, the System Vice President has direct responsibility for the organization and management of Dartmouth Cancer Center strategy, operations, and finance. This includes:
Hematologic Malignancies and Medical Oncology Sections
Department of Radiation Oncology
DCC Office of Clinical Research
Oncology Infusion Suite, Clinics, and Radiation Therapy Center
Regional locations in Nashua, Manchester, and St. Johnsbury
Service line functions across the system with direct accountability for the performance of sites at Southern Vermont Medical Center, Cheshire Medical Center, and all other current and future system members providing oncology care under the Dartmouth Cancer Center flagship brand.
A key priority for this position is to advance a positive organizational climate, boosting employee engagement and effectively managing a broad range of direct reports within a complex system.
The System Vice President will work closely with other leaders on cancer services strategy, regionalization, affiliations, integration, and operations and is responsible for:
Identifying gaps in cancer care delivery and collaborating on solutions
Defining and leading Cancer Services system integration e?orts across all Dartmouth Health locations, continually advancing the system integration roadmap and driving system-ness for Dartmouth Cancer Center services
Identifying and evaluating new business, partnership, or regionalization opportunities for the service line
Providing administrative support for ongoing expansion of Oncology Clinical Trials across Dartmouth Health

Minimum qualifications:
Qualified candidates must hold an MBA, MHSA, MHA, MSN or equivalent degree. A minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare management is required, preferably with direct supervision of cancer services.
Leadership experience at an NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center is strongly preferred as well as experience in an academic and/or integrated health system.
Candidates will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of Quality and Safety as well as Shared Governance principles.
