The Alexandria VA Medical Center in Alexandria/Pineville, LA, is seeking a compassionate, full-time, BC, MD/DO Physiatrist to work in our PM&R Service. Highlights of this position include:
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:30pm. NO CALL
80% Clinic; 10% Administrative; 10% Education
Provide high level of care to Veterans with acute/chronic pain in ambulatory, hospital, or Community Living Center setting
Manage both medical and procedural based pain care, including MAT (suboxone)
Regularly attends PM&R Service, and medical staff meetings, Pain Management member
Supervise, teach, and coordinate teaching activities for PM& R related programs
Must be a U.S. Citizen. Non-Citizen candidates will be considered if a U.S. Citizen is not found
Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
Additional Requirements:
Board Certified MD/DO
Board Certified in Physiatry (PM&R)
5 years’ experience as a physiatrist
Required: DEA X Waiver (certification for prescribing Suboxone)
