Strategic Services Associate
General Job Description
Contribute to the achievement of the DUHS mission through development and leadership of performance improvement activities in the operational and/or clinical arenas. Assure continual compliance with regulations and accreditation standards through monitoring activities and the design and implementation of strategies to enhance compliance.
Oversee the development of program analysis for new and existing ambulatory programs and sites of services, including financial and statistical reporting.
Serve as liaison between Clinical Administration & Operations, Office of Risk and Compliance, Corporate Finance, Facilities, Planning & Design and Ambulatory Finance for the project management of business plans, ad hoc analysis, and special projects. Coordinate work assignments across key stakeholders to ensure ongoing success. Create and maintain an effective and timely project plan for all active projects across Ambulatory teams.
Develop charge capture audit plans and coordinate field work on a routine basis to ensure billing compliance and to maximize revenue opportunities across all Ambulatory sites, including Duke Primary Care, Duke Health & Wellbeing, Imaging Services, Physical and Occupational Therapy, etc.
Create presentations for senior leadership including executive summaries, project proposals, PowerPoint presentations, lookback analysis and performance analytics as a routine communication and service line update and reporting tool.
Interface with DUHS Strategic Planning Office and assist with the maintenance of strategic recruitment, volume and market data model that informs the business planning process.
Coordinate the revenue modeling for business planning purposes in conjunction with the DUHS Revenue & Reimbursement department.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work described above.
Preferred Experience Work requires a minimum of five years experience, including three years of experience with significant responsibility for performance/process improvement. Experience leading work teams required. Experience can be supplemented with Master's degree with a Masters being equivalent to two years of experience.

Bachelor's degree in a business or health-related field is required.
