Register Respiratory Therapist Program Coordinator Sleep/PAP Clinic
The Registered Respiratory Therapy CPAP Coordinator must be clinically competent, management supportive, maintain a positive attitude, and be dependable. The therapist must have knowledge of anatomy and physiology including in-depth understanding of the structure and function of the lungs and bronchi as related to gas exchange and ventilation to administer special ventilatory techniques. Must have basic knowledge of sleep physiology enabling therapist to utilize information supplied by smart cards and nocturnal oximetry and make effective recommendations to the responsible physician. Must have knowledge of sleep disorders and the effect of commonly used drugs on sleep architecture and sleep disordered breathing.
