The Senior Operations Finance Analyst drives system level operational improvement with detailed financial planning, reporting, data analysis, and presentation. The Senior Operations Finance Analyst extracts and validates data from various information sources and proactively provides relevant, timely and actionable information and recommendations to assist management in operational improvement. This individual must establish her/himself as a trusted finance advisor with operational partners.
Responsibilities/Job Description
Lead and coordinate monthly and quarterly financial analysis and the annual financial planning process for respective Service Lines, Ambulatory and/or Hospital site operations
Ensure daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting and analysis - identify and interpret areas of opportunity and coordinate with operational leaders to address
Conduct adhoc and periodic strategic analyses (e.g. growth, profitability) at the service line and/or site level
Create and lead feasibility studies and pro forma analytics for proposed projects, growth, strategic priorities, programs, services or capital commitments
Analyze various provider and care delivery financial impacts
Anticipate reporting and data requirements prior to being requested by leaders
Provide education, training and coaching to operational partners on the effective use of financial systems and tools, as well as how to read and interpret financial information and reports
Monitor system compliance to assure the integrity of Fairviews system of internal control is maintained
Use various software applications, such as spreadsheets, relational databases, statistical packages, and graphics packages to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and/or reports
Collaborate with business partners to proactively monitor revenue cycle, resource utilization, supplies, inventory and other expense trends and issues
Maintain positive and trusting relationships with business partners and finance colleagues to effectively maximize performance; utilizing communication skills, facilitation skills, knowledge of team dynamics, and a commitment to continuous improvement to achieve results
Perform other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Required
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration
Experience:
3-5 years and/or equivalent experience in accounting or finance related role.
Strong analytic and Excel skills
Experience with big data
Ability to build relationships and positively influence operations leaders
Ability to synthesize financial and operating data into concise and actionable information for financial and non-financial users
