Surgeon - Scientist Faculty, Otolaryngology UCLA Department of Head and Neck Surgery
The Department of Head and Neck Surgery at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA currently seeks applicants for a Surgeon - Scientist who specializes in Academic Comprehensive Otolaryngology at Assistant/Associate/Professor level to join our growing and dynamic academic faculty in the In-Residence series. Academic appointment will be commensurate with experience.
Qualified candidates must hold an MD degree or equivalent, be board certified/eligible in Otolaryngology, and have or be eligible for a California medical license. Candidates must have demonstrated excellence in research, preferably with a track record of successful extramural funding.
Candidates should be fully engaged in providing state-of-the-art, patient-centered care. Primary duties include developing a basic/translational research program, applying for extramural funding, and teaching and clinical duties. Academic teaching duties will include supervision of medical student and resident research projects. In addition, the applicant is also expected to be proficient in and practice the full breadth and depth of comprehensive otolaryngology. The applicant will perform clinical duties primarily from our satellite or community specialty clinics and ambulatory surgery centers.
