DEPARTMENT: Medical Surgical 4 Telemetry & Medical Surgical 3Oncology
WORK SCHEDULE: Days/Evenings; Weekend/holiday rotation per department needs
WORK TYPE: Full Time (1.0 FTE) - 80 Hours Bi-Weekly; 40W Overtime
Coordinates and supervises the delivery of nursing care and activities on assigned units. Assures compliance with the directives, policies and applicable laws and regulations.
Performs duties to provide the highest level of patient care and maximize patient
Responsible for developing and initiating improvements in the organization and delivery of high quality, cost effective patient care. Duties and responsibilities will include supporting the vision, mission, and goals of the Nursing Department and the organization. Responsible for nursing clinical practice, budgetary personnel activities, regulatory activities associated with the unit and the clinical department, and continuing support of Electronic Medical Record (EMR). EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Requires a Registered Nurse currently licensed (or eligible) in the State of Pennsylvania.
Bachelors of Science in Nursing required.
Professional Certification in a specialty area is required within 2 years of hire.
Member of a professional organization appropriate to assigned area.
Requires two years of related acute care experience. Previous management/leadership experience preferred.
