We are currently seeking a Cook to join our team on as as needed basis. 

The primary responsibilities of this position, include but may not be limited to:

• Follow menus and recipes as provided by the Consultant Dietician, and consult with the Dietitian or Dietary Manager as required.
• Prepare meals according to the menu cycle and daily productivity sheet; providing attention to attractive and tasteful meals.
• Accurately prepare food for modified diets, consulting as required.
• Complete and prepare meals in a timely manner as prescribed by posted meal times.
• Document refrigeration and dish machine temperatures in accordance with posted schedule.
• Adhere to standards to food temperatures during cooking, serving and storage of leftovers.
• Assist in keeping walk-in freezer, storerooms and workspace orderly. 
• Properly date and label all opened food items.
• Comply with established guidelines for sanitation and safety.
• Positively interact with patients in the serving line, offering assistance in the selection of a nutritionally balanced meal.

Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center is a Joint Commission approved and state licensed facility for 88 beds, which includes pediatric units, adolescent girls, adolescent boys, and MISA (Mental Illness Substance Abuse) unit.
