We are currently seeking a Cook to join our team on as as needed basis. The primary responsibilities of this position, include but may not be limited to: - Follow menus and recipes as provided by the Consultant Dietician, and consult with the Dietitian or Dietary Manager as required.
- Prepare meals according to the menu cycle and daily productivity sheet; providing attention to attractive and tasteful meals.
- Accurately prepare food for modified diets, consulting as required.
- Complete and prepare meals in a timely manner as prescribed by posted meal times.
- Document refrigeration and dish machine temperatures in accordance with posted schedule.
- Adhere to standards to food temperatures during cooking, serving and storage of leftovers.
- Assist in keeping walk-in freezer, storerooms and workspace orderly.
- Properly date and label all opened food items.
- Comply with established guidelines for sanitation and safety.
- Positively interact with patients in the serving line, offering assistance in the selection of a nutritionally balanced meal.
