UT Southwestern faculty physicians provide patient care at UT Southwestern University Hospitals & Clinics, Parkland Health & Hospital System, Children’s Medical Center, Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, VA North Texas Health Care System, and other affiliated hospitals and community clinics. Faculty and residents care for more than 100,000 hospitalized patients and oversee approximately 2.2 million outpatient visits a year.
The Director of Ambulatory Business Services will be responsible for the business operations and workflows of UT Southwestern ambulatory clinics. The Director works in partnership with department and health system leadership to ensure that business revenue cycle front end workflows and practices are standardized across clinical practice sites and meeting established health system metrics. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer for UT Southwestern, the Director of Ambulatory Services provides oversight for the overall performance of Customer Service Agents and the Health System Financial Counseling Program while serving as an Epic super user, assisting in workflow redesign, system enhancements and new technology for the health system.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate a minimum of six years ‘of progressive ambulatory operations or physician revenue cycle experience within an academic health system. Exceptional communication skills, track record of performance in patient financial services and front office operations, and experience with Epic are required. An advanced degree in business, healthcare administration, finance or related field as well as CMPE or related professional certification are preferred.
