Under the general direction of the supervisor (a Director, Executive Director or VP), manage the installation, operation, support and maintenance of multiple stand-alone and integrated computing systems for the Information Services (IS) department. Serve as resource for the strategic direction of application software and general automation support of business processes. Plan, budget, propose, and advocate system upgrades, replacements and additions that support the business plans of the organization. Function as an IS leader and key point of contact for all levels of user management and staff. Collaborate with other IS leaders throughout MemorialCare Medical Foundation and the larger MHS to provide a unified, high quality, service oriented department.
This position manages the Epic Ambulatory Revenue Cycle Team to support the Epic revenue cycle applications (Cadence, Prelude, Professional Billing and HIM) for all ambulatory practices. Requires knowledge of Epic functionality, applications, project management concepts and change management processes. Enforces proper documentation of workflows, build, changes, and makes recommendations for improvements. Supervises, educates, trains and mentors staff related to revenue cycle, information systems and system build.
More than 5 years work experience, specifically implementation and support of practice management systems.
Solid grounding in core enterprise systems/applications, including Epic, related performance reporting application, MS SQL.
Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering/analysis.
Proven experience in practiced management system implementation, support and maintenance.
Strong understanding of information processing principles and practices.
Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards.
Strong knowledge of software evaluation principles and practices.
Proven project planning and leadership experience.
Formal Education & Certification
College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science/engineering or information systems preferred.
Ongoing certifications or relevant expertise, i.e., Epic certification (Ambulatory, Cadence, Prelude, Professional Billing and HIM).
