Atlantic Heath System is seeking a per-diem Admitting Representative for the Ambulatory Surgery Center a Morristown Medical Center to work 6:00am - 6:00pm.
The primary function of the Admitting Representative position is to greet and register patients in a courteous and professional manner, verify insurance benefits, secure patient signatures for required hospital forms and collection of patient's financial responsibility when required. The position functions to communicate revenue cycle related issues to patients, physicians, physician's office staff and other hospital departments. The registrar shall carry out all front desk duties, including but not limited to the telephones, registration, data entry, chart maintenance, and financial transactions, to provide for the day-to-day operations of the surgery center.
Flexibility in the weekly hours will be required and based on the surgical schedule and coverage needs of incumbent staff
High School Diploma or GED required
Previous medical/surgical front office/registration experience or background in general medical office work.
Surgical scheduling experience a plus.
CPR training preferred or can obtain after hire through AHS
Must have excellent customer service skills.
