Arrowhead Behavioral Health is seeking an outgoing and energetic Full-Time Third Shift Assessment Clinician who can work independently and has compassion for our patients.
The Clinician provides information to callers regarding treatment and the facility, presents treatment options, documents calls and sets appointments for callers seeking treatment as well as completes a call inquiry sheet for each phone call. Explains hospital regulations such as visiting hours, items that can and cannot be brought into facility. Our Assessment Clinician completes the initial assessment on the patient and contacts the appropriate doctor to discuss treatment options. The Assessment staff member interprets treatment to patient and the family to help reduce fear and other attitudes obstructing acceptance of care and continuation of treatment. The Clinician also verifies the patients insurance and coverage.
The Clinician escorts patient or arranges for escort to the patient care unit. The assessment staff member will also enter patient admitting information into computer. The Assessment Clinician will conduct medical clearances on patients needing additional medical treatment. The Clinician refers patients to other sources of treatment when appropriate.
