| The mission of the Florida Society of Ambulatory Surgical Centers (FSASC) is to advance the ambulatory surgical center industry through government advocacy and to promote the professionalism of its members through education, networking and the exchange of information.
In Florida, FSASC is the only organization that maintains close contact with state agencies to monitor and impact regulations that govern ASCs. Members are provided with a steady flow of vital information to enable centers to operate with state-of-the-art surgical, technical and administrative procedures. FSASC hosts an annual trade show and provides educational offerings, a quarterly newsletter and timely fax and email broadcasts on industry specific items.
FSASC is focused on the advancement of the ambulatory surgical center industry through legislative and regulatory advocacy. The Society maintains an active presence in Tallahassee with full time staff and lobbyist. On a national level, the Society works cooperatively with both the Federated Ambulatory Surgery Association (FASA) and the American Association of Ambulatory Surgical Centers (AAASC). This cooperation allows FSASC members to add their influence to activities at the Federal level.

Continuum Health Partners, Inc. was formed in 1997 as a partnership of three venerable institutions — Beth Israel Medical Center, St. Luke's Hospital, and Roosevelt Hospital. Drawing on complementary strengths, we offer a broad based fully integrated health services network throughout the New York City metropolitan region. This capability was augmented with the addition of The New York Eye & Ear Infirmary in 1999. With a total combined annual operating budget of $2.8 billion, our hospitals deliver inpatient care through nearly 2,180 certified beds located in seven major facilities in Manhattan and Brooklyn, while we provide outpatient care in private practice settings and ambulatory centers. Continuum treats patients in Brooklyn, Manhattan and Westchester County. Our goal is to enhance each member institution's ability to fulfill its mission. This collaboration makes available an extraordinary array of resources for the provision of compassionate, state of the art care. Together, we are superbly equipped to identify and respond to the health-related needs of the populations we serve in a patient- and physician-friendly environment.
